I know a number of errors is to be expected during bursting on these interfaces, but it seems that the error counts we are seeing are quite extensive.Ĭommon causes of this i know can be autoneg for speed and duplex, but would this not constantly error, not just under heavy load?Īll of the interfaces are connected to HP proliant servers with NICs in a variety of modes (Teamed TLB, Teamed NFT, and un-teamed) and patch cables have been checked and swapped yet still the issue persists.
These errors only occur under heavy load (like backups) and only appear on the interfaces between src and dest ports involved with the backup process. We are seeing a very high number of "input errors" on our cisco switches.
